AUTOMATIC SHOTGUNS

Appelés également "Riot Gun" (arme de contrôle des émeutes), les fusils de chasse automatiques (nommés à tort "fusils à pompe" dans les règles de Cyberpunk, car pour ces armes, inutile de "pomper" !) compte parmis les armes les plus vicieuses du monde de 2020. Elle compensent leur relative imprécision par l'opportunité de couvrir une très large zone de tir par une série de décharges de plombs meurtrières. A courte portée, le résultat est assez proche de ce que pourrait donner un fusil d'assaut. A longue portée, la largeur cumulée des différents impacts laissent peu de chance à la cible de s'en tirer sans dégâts. Les shotguns automatiques souffrent du même handicap que les fusils à pompe classique : leur relative inefficacité contre les armures modernes. Toutefois, un facteur est à prendre en compte : une armure, spécialement si elle est en Kevlar souple, aura tendance à durcir et se craqueler sous l'effet des décharges de plombs. Ainsi, si les premiers impacts peuvent être absorbés, les suivants risquent de laisser beaucoup plus de traces !
Les riot gun sont comme leur nom l'indique principalement utilisées par les forces de police et les milices corporatistes. Elles sont généralement accessibles à la vente, malgré les problèmes qu'elles posent en terme d'identification des projectiles.

Capable of either single shot of rully automatic fire, this shotgun is a true weapon to beware. Its biggest problem is that you have to hand load each shell individually, but supposedly with the release of the finished product it will be bagazine fed.
